Dargah

A Dargah is a special place that houses the mortal remains of illuminated souls, also known as saints. These sacred shrines are places of pilgrimage and reflection. In the Islamic tradition the word “Dargah” literally means Dar—doorway, gah—place, i.e., “the place of the doorway.” The word holds the image of a threshold between where we are on Earth and all that unseen beyond. A deeper meaning is “the door to the Murshid” (the senior teacher) where traditionally people come with their questions or difficulties in the hope, they will find answers and direction, worldly or otherwise, in a place of healing.
It’s the same old tradition and message that was given to Prophets and Messengers of different tribes. A message of Unity, Love, Peace, and Humanity. After Prophets and Messengers, this Mission was adopted by Sufis and Aulia-e-Akram. They are the true heirs of Prophets and Messengers.
The treasure of Prophets and Sufis are shared for the betterment of Humanity. The people who came for Sufi leanings and spiritual understanding from different parts of the world. They came as Empty vessels and went back, filled with Wisdom and spirituality.
Since more than 150 years Khanqah/hermitage of his holiness Hazrat Syed Bahlool Shah (RA) is still spreading the light of guidance and satisfaction to souls, minds and hearts.
